Cancer is a symphony of sounds:
It is the sound of the CT machine whirling as it captures whether the Savi Brachy is still in the optimal position.
It is the sound of the leaded door sliding closed to protect people from radiation exposure.
It is the sound of having my full name pronounced before the initiation of radiation.
It is the sound of the accelerometer turning on and beginning to generate the energy for treatment.
It is the sound of the rotating clicks as the accelerometer moves across seven catheter tubes.
It is the soft thump-thump sound of the radiation being delivered through each catheter.
It is the sound of the radiation staff collaborating and talking outside of my treatment room.
